We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our apprenticeship programme with a passion for our product range and an appetite to learn. You'll be working as a Sales Assistant as part of our store team, delivering great customer service and earning a salary as you learn all about our business and working in retail.

As an Apprentice at hmv you will participate in a formal development programme to provide you with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to become an accredited Sales Assistant (Retailer Standard Level 2).

The Apprenticeship Programme will last for approximately 15 months. You'll be offered a permanent employment contract with hmv from day 1 of your Apprenticeship and when you successfully complete your Apprenticeship you will be awarded a nationally recognised qualification. You will be required to travel to other locations in the UK for a training day once per month, travel costs for training outside your usual workplace will be met by hmv.

GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths is essential for this programme.

Please note that we will contact you to request evidence of your actual GCSE or equivalent qualifications if you are shortlisted for interview. 

You'll benefit from 31 days paid annual leave per year (including Bank Holidays), employee discount and the opportunity to participate in our store incentives. You will be required to work 5 days out of 7 per week including weekends. You will also be required to work on public/bank holidays including Boxing Day and New year's Day.

The hourly rate is £5 per hour (London weighting not included). 30 hours of work per week.
